The Lodge is open 24 hours as a recreation facility for all guests. It offers a cozy lounge area containing telephones, books, maps and brochures of local Redstone activities and attractions, plus a TV/VCR/DVD with a wide selection of free videos for all ages. The game room has a ping-pong table and a variety of popular games and puzzles for your enjoyment.

There is a large antiques and gift shop (and more in the barn!) to browse during your stay. Tasteful antiques and unique furniture and decor is found everywhere on the ranch, adding to the ambiance and warm, personal touches the ranch is known for. The shop also has a great variety of small gift items and collectables. Some necessities like fresh eggs, snacks and butter are available.

The tree house, sandbox, swing, sledding hill, ice rink and other games will engage the children. While, horseshoes, volleyball, and better yet, our three hot springs pools will beckon adults to relax. 

Every Wednesday Night and Saturday Night in the summer at Avalanche Ranch: Join Cowboy Steve around the campfire for songs and ‘smores! A signature night at the Ranch with an authentic western feel. Song requests are welcome and if you have an instrument you’d like to bring along, more the merrier!

Open around-the-clock for all lodging guests (closed Wednesday from 9am-4pm for cleaning), the 3 pools are located on site, a short walk from all cabins.  Temperatures range from 92-104 degrees and are the perfect place to decompress and enjoy the spectacular mountain views.  Family friendly!

Massages at Avalanche Ranch are a great way to relax. With our cabins and yoga barns it is easy to get away for an hour or two for a deep tissue, or sports massages, as well as Myofascial release and more!

The ranch grounds are very lush and include a variety of trees, apple and plum orchards. We have cleared a hiking trail that skirts the upper boundaries of the ranch.

The Avalanche Ranch pond is located on the North end of the property and is a great place for family play, fishing, walking, and boating. There is a canoe and 2 paddleboats for lodging guests to use. Great for first time canoe experience! and the paddleboats are well-suited for young and old alike! Lifejackets are provided by Avalanche at the office. Is available mid-winter depending on temperatures.  The Ranch has some skates available for guest use, but is limited in sizes and quantities.  If you have a pair, bring them along!

Avalanche Ranch is the perfect base camp for snowshoeing.  The Ranch provides a fleet of snowshoes for guest use either on site or to take with to near-by trailheads. Sleds are provided on-site for all lodging guests to enjoy.  Depending on conditions our sledding hill is well established from December-February.
